Daphna Westerman

“I am interested in a new form of theater, in a theater that is free of definitions. An outside theater, one that is unbound from any restrictions, a joined creation that is available to anyone who desires it. My works usually deal with the public sphere in historical, political or social contexts. I like to examine the ways in which performance and theater play a role in creating social and political change, not from its usual stage in theatre halls, but rather from the streets, deriving from the element of participation of the public. I believe in the possibility to change one’s perspective and in the space that art creates.”
